Open Positions

At the present time, we are offering open positions for researchers and we are actively looking for a student to support our research in the context of the GUIDE (Gründungen und Innopreneurship der Universität Duisburg-Essen) project.
Find the announcement here.

The GUIDE center was established as part of the Science Support Center (SSC) to support the establishment of start-ups within the university. The center identifies the assets available within the university and offers access to a network of external partners in both the public and the private sectors. The intention is to act as an incubator for research and technology-based spin-offs. Within this project, the Networked Embedded Systems group is responsible for the design and development of an Innovation Search Engine (INSE) that supports the GUIDE staff in identifying innovation potentials. The ultimate goal is to make screening and scouting more efficient by automatizing the analysis of complex data and simplifying access to relevant information. In this way, GUIDE will be able to gather knowledge and expertise in a system that can be exploited by different users with heterogeneous competencies and backgrounds. To support the implementation of the search engine, we are looking for highly motivated students. Applicants should be fluent in programming. Applicants with knowledge of Node.js, MongoDB, Elasticsearch and Javascript front-end platforms are ideal candidates for the job. If you are interested in working with us, please contact arman.arzani@uni-due.de.

In addition, we are continuously looking for highly motivated students to support our lectures, exercises and student projects . If you are looking for a student job to support our teaching activities, please contact marcus.handte@uni-due.de.
